Hi and welcome to this JK B'HAM Crime Report for VPN: REGIONAL NETWORKS:

Two brothers, Abbas Alhaq and Uwais Madni, have been sentenced to over 20 years in prison for a violent attack that left a man in his 20s with severe head injuries. The assault occurred on January 19, 2020, and left the victim in a coma for several weeks.
Alhaq, 24, from Sparkbrook, was sentenced to 10 years after pleading guilty to grievous bodily harm with intent. He also admitted to possessing a bladed article and assaulting a police officer in a separate incident in 2022. Madni, 26, from Kings Heath, was jailed for 10 years and four months for his role in the attack.
The brothers attacked the man with weapons, believed to be bats or metal poles, in what was described as a revenge attack. The victim, who had no idea what lay in store, had been picked up in a car after a meeting had been arranged and was taken to an address in Sparkbrook. Following the beating, the victim was left unconscious in the street for hours before the attackers returned. Sensing the seriousness of the situation, they called emergency services.
The man sustained severe injuries, including a brain bleed, facial fractures, and broken ribs, and spent months in the hospital undergoing rehabilitation.
Detective Sergeant Sam Straw stated that the attack was vicious and that the lengthy prison sentences for the attack by Alhaq and Madhi should serve as a deterrent to others considering similar thuggish acts.
Well, that’s all for now. But until our next article, please stay tuned, stay informed, but most of all stay safe, and I’ll see you then.
