Hi and welcome to this Video Production News update

A shocking triple homicide has left the family of BBC Five Live racing commentator John Hunt devastated. His wife, Carol Hunt, 61, and their two daughters, Louise, 25, and Hannah, 28, were found dead in their home in Bushey, Hertfordshire, in what police are describing as a targeted attack involving a crossbow.

The gruesome discovery was made last night at the family’s £800,000 detached home. According to police sources, the three women were bound and then shot with a crossbow. There are indications that other weapons may also have been used in the attack.

A massive manhunt is currently underway to locate Kyle Clifford, 26, the ex-boyfriend of Louise Hunt. Clifford, described as armed and dangerous, is the primary suspect in the case. He was last seen in the Hilly Fields area of Enfield, north London. Helicopters were deployed over the area on Wednesday afternoon, and police have conducted raids, including at an empty property in Enfield.

A nearby primary school in Enfield was placed on lockdown after Clifford’s car was discovered close by. Police have issued a warning to the public not to approach Clifford but to contact authorities immediately if he is sighted.

In a press conference, Hertfordshire Police urged Clifford to surrender. Chief Superintendent Jon Simpson emphasized the threat Clifford poses, stating, “Our overarching objective today is to protect public safety and to locate Kyle Clifford, who is wanted in connection with the murder of the three women in what we believe is a targeted incident.” The police are employing extensive resources, including armed officers and specialist search teams, to locate Clifford.

Detective Superintendent Rob Hall from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit has called for public assistance, urging anyone with information on Clifford’s whereabouts to come forward. He stressed the seriousness of the situation, noting that Clifford may still be armed.

The usually peaceful cul-de-sac in Bushey has become a scene of intense police activity. Armed police and forensic officers are conducting a detailed investigation at the crime scene. Neighbours and local residents are in shock, struggling to comprehend the violent incident that has shattered their community.

Local resident William Nourallah paid tribute to Louise, saying, “She was a gorgeous girl. She really was a young, hardworking girl. I met the mum once or twice because she opened the door for me. I met the father. She was happy every time I saw her. We would have a laugh and a joke. She was a beautiful young girl. It's a waste of a life.”

Another neighbour, Glyn Nicholas, recounted that Louise had been deeply upset following a recent breakup with a boyfriend and had even been involved in a minor car accident last week. “Louise was a very nice girl. She ran a dog grooming business from the house. I heard that she split from a boyfriend last week and was very upset about it. So much so that she was driving home at some point last week and drove into a wooden telegraph pole not far from the house.”

Neighbours also described Carol Hunt as a polite and quiet woman who spent much of her time at home. The family was well-regarded in the community, with many residents expressing their shock and sadness over the incident.

The BBC has expressed its condolences and support for John Hunt and his family. In a note to staff at BBC Five Live, the corporation described the incident as “utterly devastating” and pledged to provide all necessary support to Hunt during this difficult time.

The Home Secretary, Yvette Cooper, has been kept fully updated on the case. She urged anyone with information to assist the police. Cooper commented, “The loss of three women's lives in Bushey last night is truly shocking. My thoughts are with the family & friends of those who have been killed & with the community. I urge people to support Hertfordshire Police with any information about this case.”

The investigation is still in its early stages. Police are working tirelessly to piece together the full circumstances of the incident. They have appealed for anyone who was in the area around Ashlyn Close between lunchtime on Tuesday and 7 PM, who might have seen anything unusual, to come forward.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson provided details of the emergency response, stating, “We were called around 7 PM on Tuesday, July 9 to a property in Ashlyn Close in Bushey. Three ambulances, a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance officer vehicle, the Hazardous Area Response Team, the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance, and London Air Ambulance were sent to the scene. Sadly, despite the team's best efforts, three women were pronounced dead at the scene.”

The hunt for Kyle Clifford continues, with significant police resources deployed to ensure public safety and bring the suspect to justice. This tragic incident has deeply affected the community and has left many grieving the loss of Carol, Louise, and Hannah Hunt.

Well, that’s all for now. But until our next article, please stay tuned, stay informed, but most of all stay safe, and I’ll see you then.
