Two individuals, aged 19 and 18, were subsequently convicted and jailed for Sekou's manslaughter in March 2023. However, Ishmael Farquharson, believed to have been involved in the incident, remains at large.

Sekou's grieving mother, in a poignant statement, described him as a loving son with a passion for family, football, and helping others. She emphasized his positive impact on those around him and the profound void left by his absence.

Detective Sergeant Chris Brown from Force CID urged anyone with information on Farquharson's whereabouts to come forward. He stressed the importance of not approaching Farquharson directly but instead contacting the authorities immediately.
