A total of eight boys, aged between 12 and 16, have now been arrested on suspicion of the rape of a teenage girl in Nottingham. The incident took place on the evening of Saturday the 25th of May on York Playing Fields in Newark.

An initial round of arrests took place on Monday the 27th and Tuesday 28th, with four boys arrested, two aged 15 and two aged 16. Investigations continued and by the end of the week another four boys had been arrested. These were two 14-year olds, a 13-year old and a 12-year-old.

All suspects are now released under strict bail conditions.
