A man who set fire to two elderly worshippers as they left mosques in London and Birmingham has been given a hospital order following a harrowing trial.

Mohammed Abbkr, 29, poured petrol on his victims, aged in their 70s and 80s, before igniting them with a lighter in what authorities described as "absolutely horrific attacks." During the trial at Birmingham Crown Court, Abbkr was found guilty of two charges of attempted murder, despite pleading not guilty on the grounds of insanity.
