Hi and welcome to this JK B'HAM Crime Report for VPN: REGIONAL NETWORKS:

A man has been sentenced to eight years in prison after robbing an elderly woman in her Wolverhampton home. Marian Plesca, 32, forced his way into the woman's house in the All Saints area at around 10am on Thursday, November 30. Plesca, who has no fixed address, grabbed the woman, who is in her 80s, and forcibly removed a gold necklace and a watch from her. He also stole £20 from the kitchen counter before fleeing.
Despite the traumatic experience, the victim was not seriously injured and promptly alerted the police. Officers quickly circulated a description of Plesca, leading to his arrest three days later while officers were on patrol.
During his trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court, Plesca changed his plea to guilty. PC Andrew Reid, from the Wolverhampton Neighbourhood Crime Team, emphasized the seriousness of the crime, noting the team's swift action in apprehending Plesca. "Targeting an elderly woman in her own home is despicable," he said, highlighting the collaborative effort to bring the offender to justice.
The Wolverhampton Police have reiterated their commitment to tackling robbery and protecting the community.
Well, that’s all for now. But until our next article, please stay tuned, stay informed, but most of all stay safe, and I’ll see you then.
