Hi and welcome to this JK B'HAM Crime Report for VPN: REGIONAL NETWORKS:

A county lines drug gang that brazenly flaunted their riches in photos has been jailed. The "Jay" line, which peddled cocaine and cannabis across Birmingham and Warwickshire, saw its leaders Shamraz and Amrez Alam, both from Hall Green, slapped with 17 and a 1/2 year sentences each for conspiracy to supply class A drugs.
The Alams took over from Shakeel Khan and Mohammed Asim.
Khan, 29, is already serving a 10-year stretch, while Asim, 30, dodged a prison cell with a 12-month suspended sentence and 50 hours of community service for money laundering.
Mudasser Hussain, another key player from Birmingham, received four years and three months for his role, and Waqar Ali, also from Birmingham, was given a 14-month suspended sentence and 100 hours of unpaid work.
The gang's luck ran out after police discovered photos of Asim posing with wads of cash, and raids unearthed £200,000 and details of nearly 400 customers. Valentina Dobre, also from Birmingham, who packaged the drugs, awaits sentencing on 17 July.
When Dobre's address in Edgbastonwas searched, a car parked outside was examined revealing a converted firearm, a pellet gun, a starter pistol and five live rounds as well as documents relating to Shamraz Alam - a chilling glimpse into the world of these dealers.
This bust is part of Operation Target, a relentless crackdown on serious crime in the West Midlands.
Well, that’s all for now. But until our next article, please stay tuned, stay informed, but most of all stay safe, and I’ll see you then.
