Hi and welcome to this Video Production News Crime update:

A 33-year-old man, sought in connection with the fatal stabbing of a London bus driver, has been formally charged with murder after being apprehended at the Notting Hill Carnival.

Kamar Williams, a resident of the Isle of Dogs in East London, was arrested on Monday in relation to the death of Derek Neil Thomas, 53. The incident occurred on the night of July 30th, when police were called to Northwold Road in Stoke Newington at approximately 11 p.m. following reports of a man suffering from a stab wound.

Mr. Thomas, who was returning home from his job at the Northumberland Park bus garage in Tottenham—where he worked for Go-Ahead London—was attacked at around 11:05 p.m. Despite the prompt arrival of paramedics, their efforts to save him were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Williams has now been charged with murder and possession of a bladed article. He is due to appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court tomorrow. The Metropolitan Police had issued an appeal for Williams on August 4th, a day after a 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. She was subsequently released on bail.

Mr. Thomas' family has been informed of the developments and continues to receive support from specialist officers. He has been remembered fondly as a "gentleman" by those who knew him.

Well, that’s all for rnow. But until our next article, please stay tuned, stay informed, but most of all stay safe, and I’ll see you then.
