Hi and welcome to this JK B'HAM Crime Report for VPN: REGIONAL NETWORKS:

Two dangerous men have been sent to prison after bitter grudges within Birmingham's underworld erupted into a slash and gunshot showdown last year.
Gunman Awais Ahmed, 21, was previously locked away on a hefty 24- year sentence for the events of that summer evening and machete attackers Antroye Coley and Junior Losinho have now also been jailed for their roles in the vicious late-night clash.
During the attack, Ahmed shot his former friend, Antroye Coley, 19, in the chest, while Coley slashed Ahmed with a machete in Ward End. Both men survived their injuries.
The incident occurred on 26 June 2023. Following a chance encounter with rival Awais Ahmed in Alum Rock, Antroye Coley and Junior Losinho decided to arm themselves with bladed weapons and set out to find and attack Ahmed.
Ahmed, meanwhile, had retrieved a locally-stashed gun and, with Aman Baig, driven to a familiar hangout, where they were later tracked down by Coley.
Losinho, 21, and Coley approached with stealth the Seat Leon containing Ahmed and Baig in the car park at Christ Church on Burney Lane, Ward End. Then violence erupted: opening fire with his pistol, Ahmed shot Coley in the chest, while Coley retaliated by stabbing Ahmed with a machete.
Following the attack, both men were taken to hospital by their associates.
Detectives from the Major Crime Unit launched an investigation, combing through over 1,000 hours of CCTV footage, which helped identify the suspects.
The outcome of this tireless investigation, and society's response to the conduct of these law-breakers: Ahmed sentenced to 24 years for wounding with intent and firearm possession, Coley sentenced to three years for wounding with intent and Junior Losinho sentenced to one year for wounding.
Detective Inspector Francis Nock emphasized the critical role CCTV played in building the case, despite the initial lack of cooperation from the suspects. He reiterated the police's commitment to reducing gun violence in the West Midlands, where shooting incidents have decreased in the past year.
Well, that’s all for now. But until our next article, please stay tuned, stay informed, but most of all stay safe, and I’ll see you then.
