ALTAF KHALIFA Found & Sentenced To 25 Years Prison For Child Rape

Depraved serial child rapist ALTAF KHALIFA, who fled the UK to avoid justice, has now been sentenced to 24 years in prison.

Altaf Khalifa, 42, was convicted of 11 shocking crimes, including the rape and sexual assault of two young girls. The abuse, which occurred between January 2016 and August 2019, only came to light after one of the girls bravely spoke out, tragically followed by her suicide two months later.

These crimes, many of which occurred at an address in the Beaumont Leys area, happened between January 2016 and August 2019 when the girls were aged eight to 10 and 13 to 15.

Khalifa, of no fixed address, evaded capture for more than two years, going on the run in July 2021 while on bail. He was finally apprehended in Malaga, Spain, in September 2023, following a relentless international manhunt by dedicated officers from the Victim Abuse Investigation Unit (VAIU).

Leicester Crown Court heard how the investigation uncovered Khalifa’s sickening crimes, including possession of indecent images and extreme pornography. Despite his attempts to hide evidence, digital forensics experts cracked his encrypted devices, revealing his appalling actions.

At trial he was found guilty of the following offences:

• One count of rape

• One count of rape of a child under 13

• One count of sexual assault

• One count of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity

• One count of sexual assault of a child under 13

• Two counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration

• One count of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity

• One count of distributing or showing indecent photograph of a child

• One count of possessing an extreme photographic image

• One count of failing to comply with a requirement to disclose the key to protected information

Today, officers praised the courage of the victims for coming forward, emphasizing that without their bravery, Khalifa might have continued his predatory behavior. Khalifa's sentence ensures he will be on the Sex Offenders’ Register for life, preventing him from causing further harm.
