WAKKAS HASEEB KHAN, 27, has been arrested and charged with attempting to groom, meet and exploit 14-Year-Old British 🇬🇧 School Girl for Sex.

KHAN, when questioned upon his arrest said:

"I don't know it's illegal. How many days will I be locked up for this?"

MR. KHAN, in the future please remember that, in UK law, the principle that:

“Ignorance of the law is not an excuse nor a defence”

is firmly established, meaning that a lack of knowledge about a law does not absolve an individual from criminal liability.

This concept, grounded in Section 76 of the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008, ensures that people cannot evade responsibility simply by claiming they were unaware of legal obligations.

The rationale behind this rule is that allowing ignorance as a defence would create loopholes, encourage widespread disregard for the law, and undermine the legal system’s predictability and fairness.
