Hi and welcome to this JK B'HAM Crime Report for VPN: REGIONAL NETWORKS:

A 14 year-old boy has been charged with murder following the assault which led to the death of Bhim Sen Kohli.
Kholi had previously contacted the police concerned by anti-social behaviour in the area.
The 80-year-old man from Leicester tragically died after being assaulted near his home while walking his dog in Franklin Park, Braunstone Town, on the evening of Sunday, September 1, 2024.
Leicestershire Police arrested five children on suspicion of murder: a 14-year-old boy and girl, and two 12-year-old girls and one 12-year-old boy.
The group reportedly left the scene before emergency services arrived.
The incident occurred near the park's Bramble Way entrance at around 6:30 PM BST. The area has since been the focus of a significant police presence, with officers conducting reassurance patrols and speaking with residents.
The incident has deeply shocked the local community, known for its close-knit nature, and there has been an outpouring of grief and disbelief, and many warm tributes to Mr. Kohli.
As Mr. Kholi had previously reported anti-social behaviour to the police, Leicestershire Police have made a voluntary referral to the Independent Office of Police Conduct (IOPC) as part of their investigation.
We will keep you updated with all future developments.
Well, that’s all for now. But until our next article, please stay tuned, stay informed, but most of all stay safe, and I’ll see you then.
